It was such a bitterly cold morning that even though the sun was peeping over the top of the forest on the hillside there was no sign of the frost melting. I sat drinking my morning coffee and trying to decide if it would be worthwhile braving the cold and heading out.
But there’s something rather magical about those first frosty mornings of winter and it wasn’t long before the yearning to create became stronger than the desire to keep warm. Bundled up in woolly hat and scarf and wearing my warmest coat and gloves I ventured out with the Lensbaby Velvet 85.
With the landscape transformed with icy crystals the most mundane subjects suddenly look so much more appealing.
It’s almost the end of my Year of Unconventional Lenses project and Lensbabies have become my first choice of lens. Somehow I can’t see that changing as we move into next year!
