Flowers with the Sweet 80 – Lensbaby Blog Circle

Anyone else struggling to accept that we are already at the end of February? I honestly can’t believe how quickly this month has flown by, yesterday saw me in a panic that we only had two days left of the month and it seemed highly likely that I wouldn’t have a post ready for the Lensbaby Blog Circle. Then major guilt set in, no way could I set up the blog circle with such a great group of photographers and then miss the second month!

So it was on with the thinking cap, what could I do quickly that I would be happy to share in a blog post….

Well I have the Sweet 80 that I haven’t used anywhere near enough, a set of the new macro filters that I haven’t used at all and a bouquet of flowers from my wedding anniversary so a session of creative flower photography seemed the logical answer.

I must admit I’ve been missing my flower photography so it’s been fun to shoot some vibrant colour in the middle of winter!

Next up in the blog circle is Melita with her hauntingly beautiful churchyard images. Please click here to visit Melita’s post and wander your way through the blog circle.

Lovely series. Really like the mix of fade and deep colour.

      Thanks John 🙂

Gorgeous to see these flowers Janet, particualrly as there hasn’t been much in the way of a floral boost in the gardens at the moment. I particularly love the top five images with their blur and movement.

Thanks Mel, I think I was in need of a bit of colour!

Thanks Jools, I’m just about to head around the circle myself, looking forward to yours 🙂

Where did you get your macro filters used on the Sweet80?

    • Janet Broughton

      Hi Martin,
Lensbaby sent them to me, they are available from their website and you can also buy cheap ones on Ebay but the Lensbaby ones are better quality.
