Inspiration. It’s a funny thing, its often there when you need to call on it but other times its just nowhere to be found at all. There’s lots of advice written on it, on how to find it when it’s left you and how to keep it when you have it. Most of it is good advice too and the things that tend to work for me are wandering around a gallery (regardless of whether its showing photography), being with other creative people and walking in the countryside.
And then there are other times when you aren’t really looking for it but it comes along and WHAM it suddenly hits you!
That’s exactly what happened the other morning, I’d had my early morning cup of coffee and was just putting the cup in the kitchen when I looked out of the window and saw these little pockets of sunshine filtering through the leaves on the trees. Now it really isn’t anything new, but this particular morning I was so inspired that I just HAD to go get my camera and macro lens and spend ten minutes in the garden in my pyjamas!
Courgette buds, spiders’ webs, tiny acer leaves, hydrangea petals, dandelion seeds, its amazing what can be found in ten minutes in a garden when inspiration strikes! And thanks to those little pockets of sunshine!
