52 Weeks, Spring Flowers

This morning I woke up to a covering of snow with big flakes falling fast. It came as a bit of a surprise, I’m sure the forecast was for a few light showers that would quickly turn to sleet but it seemed appropriate to cut some snowdrops from the garden to photograph for this week’s 52 Weeks Of Quiet.

The light was really great, soft and bright with all that snow to reflect it, perfect for back lighting and a dark black and white.

Last weeks image was also spring flowers, grape hyacinths this time and shot with a Lensbaby. I’d intended to share it in this post but it’s so at odds with the image above that I don’t think I’ll bother. Its light and bright and quite delicate, it feels so far away from my usual style that I struggle to make up my mind whether I like it or not! If you want to see it you’ll have to go and look on Instagram!!
