In Pine Forests and Barley Fields

I very rarely share any of my shoots for portrait clients, in fact it’s so rare that lots of people who follow the blog may not even know that I’m also a lifestyle portrait photographer!

Every so often a shoot comes along that’s so different that the images just have to be shared and this equine lifestyle session is one of those shoots. For various reasons it took almost two years to get this shoot in the diary, I’d donated it for a charity auction and for a while fate conspired against us and we just couldn’t get a date sorted.

But it was so worth the wait, what an amazing location it was with it’s pine forests, barley fields, winding lanes and so much more. I often arrive at a stable yard and need to go scouting around, finding the best light and locations, and sometimes it’s a challenge. Not so here, everywhere was so scenic and the weather was perfect too.

So here we are, two dogs, one horse, two people and a perfect location!

(I only have permission to share images that are more distant so these aren’t fully representative of a session but I value and respect my clients right to privacy.)
